America’s Public Lands

Public lands in the United States of America include national parks, historic sites, monuments and memorials, battlefields, forests, grasslands, scenic rivers and trails, and wildlife preserves. Many of these lands are renowned as spaces of great beauty; places where we can visit and renew ourselves mentally, spiritually, and culturally. These properties are established for the enjoyment and enrichment of all people, not just a select few. The dedicated professionals who act as rangers, caretakers, and custodians serve to maintain these important places not only for our enjoyment, but for generations to come. Conservation and preservation are their watchwords. I hope these images will help people see the beauty and understand the value and importance in keeping these lands in as pristine and undeveloped status as possible.
